Top Korean universities offer scholarships for Pakistani students

In a significant move to boost global academic partnerships, ten top universities from South Korea will offer scholarships to students of the University of Home Economics (UHE) in Lahore.

Punjab’s Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat, made the announcement, highlighting that these scholarships will allow UHE students to pursue advanced studies in innovative areas like Aesthetics, Robotic Arms, and Aviation.

This step aligns with the Punjab Government’s broader aim of building strong international academic connections and expanding opportunities for local students.

UHE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister for recognizing the talent of UHE students and supporting their global exposure.

She described the development as a major breakthrough that will pave the way for academic excellence and deeper international engagement for the university.

This progress comes after a recent visit by a delegation of South Korean universities to UHE, where they engaged with faculty and students and discussed potential areas of future cooperation.
