Lahore and several cities across Punjab are experiencing a gradual rise in temperatures as dry weather continues, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Lahore recorded a minimum temperature of 16°C with humidity at 73%. In the coming days, daytime temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 16°C and 18°C. The city will remain mostly sunny, with some cloud cover expected by midweek.
Other parts of Punjab, including Bahawalpur, Multan, Sargodha, and Faisalabad, are also seeing warmer temperatures, ranging between 14°C and 20°C, with predominantly sunny conditions.
Meanwhile, northern areas such as Murree, Chakwal, and Rawalpindi may experience scattered rain and thunderstorms later in the week.
Despite changing weather patterns in some regions, Lahore is not expected to receive any significant rainfall.
The city will continue to experience dry conditions, with warm days and slightly cooler nights. Weather experts suggest that this gradual temperature rise could signal an early onset of summer.
In Karachi, the PMD forecasts warm and dry conditions over the next 24 hours, with temperatures ranging between 35°C and 37°C. Light north-westerly winds will persist, maintaining the dry spell.
The humidity level is currently around 52%, with no major changes in wind speed anticipated.
Over the past 24 hours, Karachi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 21.7°C, with mild weather main.
Authorities have advised residents to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related illnesses, particularly during peak afternoon hours.
