The price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs500 on Wednesday, reaching Rs306,500, compared to Rs306,000 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
For the first two days of the week, gold prices had remained stable in the local market before this increase.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs429, climbing from Rs262,345 to Rs262,774. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also saw a rise of Rs393, moving from Rs240,491 to Rs240,884.
Silver prices followed the upward trend, with per tola silver increasing by Rs52 to Rs3,440, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs45, reaching Rs2,949.
On the international market, gold prices go up by $5, going from $2,910 to $2,915, while silver saw a $0.50 rise, reaching $33.00, as reported by the association.
