KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast hot and humid weather for Karachi over the next three days, while a gradual drop in temperature is also expected.
The Met Office said most areas of Sindh will continue to experience hot to very hot and dry conditions.
According to the Early Warning Centre, Karachi will face hot and humid weather from Tuesday to Thursday. Maximum temperatures are expected to stay between 37°C and 39°C on Tuesday, 36°C to 38°C on Wednesday, and 35°C to 37°C on Thursday.
Minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 26.5°C and 29°C during this period.
Humidity levels are expected to stay high, with morning humidity reaching up to 85 per cent on Wednesday and Thursday, while evening levels may range between 45 and 65 per cent.
The PMD also said sea breezes will continue along with westerly and southwesterly winds, while northwesterly winds may briefly blow on Wednesday before changing direction again.

Meanwhile, Karachi has been experiencing extreme heat conditions. On Monday, at least ten bodies were recovered from different areas of the city as temperatures peaked, making it the hottest day since 2018.
The Met Office noted that Karachi’s temperature recently crossed 44°C, matching extreme heat levels last seen in 2018 when it reached 46°C. It also recalled that the highest recorded temperature for May dates back to 1938, when it reached 48°C.
A heatwave alert had earlier been issued for Karachi and several districts of Sindh, warning that temperatures could rise above 41°C. On Sunday, the city recorded 42°C with humidity at 52 per cent, making it feel like 45°C, with similar conditions continuing into Monday.
