More rain, thunderstorms expected in Karachi and Sindh

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms in Karachi on April 6 as a new weather system approaches.

The Met Office said a westerly wave will enter Balochistan from Iran on April 5 and begin affecting weather patterns in Sindh. Due to this system, areas like Sukkur, Kashmore, and Ghotki are likely to experience thunderstorms, rain, and possible hail on April 6.

This forecast comes after heavy rainfall hit Karachi on Thursday, causing at least seven deaths and injuring three people in incidents linked to the rain.
